Matt Curran | Student Advisor

Matt is a Student Advisor who works very closely with the students. He graduated from The University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Matt worked for a Fortune 500 company for twenty-three years in a sales position before the transition to Education. After spending too many years chasing monthly budgets, his primary motivation was just wanting to do something meaningful.

Matt worked for a therapeutic residential treatment program in Massachusetts for three years before joining L.D.I. He was an Economics teacher and responsible for an outdoor challenge elective. This included white water rafting, fishing, camping and hiking. There was always a waiting line to get into his elective, as it was the schools most popular.

Matt teaches Financial Planning and an Ethics class called “Do the Right Thing”, where he brings a lot of professional experience and real life examples to both courses.

Matt moved to Arizona recently from the Northeast and is an avid Boston sports fan. His other interests include fishing, weight training, golfing and any outdoors activities.
