Enrollment is based on a rolling admissions/open entry process for trimester starting points approximately every 16 weeks. Depending on individual circumstances, desired late starting dates for enrollment can and do occur. Potential candidates for LDI’s program are interviewed throughout the calendar year for admission.
Upon completion and submission of student application information and most recent testing, an on-campus interview with LDI administrators will be arranged and scheduled. The interview and campus tour will consist of a full discussion of the LDI program components, meetings with several staff members, and a tour of the residential complex where LDI students live and are engaged in social, independent-living and community-based activities. The interview/visit must be scheduled in advance; its duration is approximately 5 hours.
Once accepted, an enrollment package will be sent within two (2) weeks. Contents include a contract for student services which must be signed and returned with payment of the Program Contract fees and an initial $400 for the student’s personal account.
Admission pre-requisites include:
• Completed Student Application
• $100.00 Application Fee
• Most recent psycho-educational battery (within last 3 years), reflecting results of at least IQ and achievement tests – i.e., the Woodcock-Johnson and WAIS-III Transcripts and an IEP or 504 Plan (as available or applicable)
• Student interview
• Campus tour
